An Office Cleanout Inventory You Can Build Room by Room
A short inventory prevents missed items, protects records, and gives building management the details it needs.

Use the room as the unit
List each room, then count desks, chairs, cabinets, shelving, boxed contents, electronics, and unusual pieces. Add dimensions for conference tables, built-ins, and anything that may not fit through a standard door.
Remove data and records
Separate paper records, keys, access cards, computers, drives, phones, and network equipment. A junk removal pickup is not a substitute for secure document or data destruction. Assign a responsible person to clear every drawer and device.
Map the building route
Confirm freight elevator reservations, dock access, floor protection, parking, certificates, and allowed work hours with building management. Record the longest carry and any doorway or turn that constrains large furniture.
